    Man charged with robbery at home

    LARGO -- A man has been arrested on charges that he robbed the occupants of a mobile home of money and jewelry early Tuesday morning.

    Jason Scott Hug, 19, of 1497 Cambridge Drive, was charged with armed robbery and burglary with battery. He is accused of going to a mobile home at Sun Piper Mobile Home Park, 1760 Clearwater-Largo Road, striking one of several occupants on the head with a gun and taking jewelry and cash, arrest reports state.

    There were five people, including an infant, in the home at the time. Two were able to identify Hug, who is an associate of one of the victims.

    Hug had an accomplice, but no other arrests were reported. Hug was being held Tuesday at the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail.

    Suspect charged in theft

    LARGO -- A man was arrested Monday on charges that he stole $43,000 in lawn equipment from the mobile home park where his mother lives.

    Scott John Revell, 38, of 1865 Glades Circle, was charged with grand theft in connection with the June 25 heist. Largo police said Revell cut the locks on two utility trailers at Ranchero Village, 7100 Ulmerton Road.

    Revell took lawn mowers, blowers, trimmers, an air compressor, trimming saw, gas cans, grease gun, water coolers, jack stands, toolbox, tools and a golf cart, arrest reports state.

    Witnesses saw Revell take the items, most of which were later recovered, police said. Revell was released from the Pinellas County Jail after posting $10,000 bail.
