Battles on the beach
Clearwater Beach is the hot spot for beach volleyball on this side of the state, a frequent stop on the national professional tours, such as BVA Pro Beach Volleyball. (Pro Beach Volleyball will be back on Clearwater Beach next year with plans for NBC to broadcast the games live.)
Meanwhile, the Florida Beach Volleyball pro-am tour stops there Saturday and Sunday with adult play and the Junior National Beach Championships for USA Volleyball.
