School bus ban is outrageous

Editor: Re: Bus-stop ban stuns, angers neighbors, Aug. 1 Times.

I think it is outrageous the people and board of directors will not allow school buses in Brookridge. Not letting anyone know about the situation is even worse.

I realize this is an "over 55 community" however, there are children and grandchildren who reside there. As one person put it, "They are treating children like second-class citizens." Did these older residents not have children? Do they now have grandchildren?

I live in an "over 55 community" -- High Point. If my grandchildren happened to have to live with me, I would be very upset if they could not get the bus except outside the gate.

I think these people need to get with the real world.
