Uniform policiesBy Times staff© St. Petersburg Times published August 4, 2002 Updates to the school district's uniforms policy have changed little. Five schools have uniform policies and five do not. Three of the schools with uniforms, Inverness Primary, Hernando Elementary and Rock Crusher Elementary, encourage their students to wear uniforms, although they remain optional. The Inverness Primary uniform is khaki or navy pants or skirts and white, yellow, navy or khaki shirts. The school also accepts jeans . At Hernando Elementary, pants or skirts are navy and khaki with red, white or navy shirts. Rock Crusher Elementary School uniforms are navy and khaki pants or skirts with white, navy, khaki or burgundy shirts. Rock Crusher's school colors had been magenta and teal, but the students and staff voted to change them to red, white and blue. Floral City Elementary and Crystal River Primary have uniform options, but they are not strongly encouraged. Interested Floral City parents can purchase shirts at the school. The uniform shirt colors are hunter green, navy blue and white. The Crystal River Primary shirt colors are white, gold, royal blue and maroon. Citrus Springs Elementary, Forest Ridge Elementary, Homosassa Elementary, Lecanto Primary and Pleasant Grove Elementary schools have no uniform policies. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
