The YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club of Hernando County will offer families help with their child care needs again this year.

The YMCA Child Care Office of Hernando County offers child care before and after school at all 10 public elementary schools. Care is also available on professional and student holidays.

Full-time care, which includes care both before and after school, costs $45 a week. Part-time care, which is either before or after but not both, costs $30 a week.

Discounts for multiple children and financial assistance are available.

Registration packets are available at the YMCA at 1300 Mariner Blvd. in Spring Hill or at the YMCA Child Care Office at 12597 Spring Hill Drive, a quarter-mile west of Linden Drive. For information, call 686-9622.

The Boys & Girls Club will offer after-school care and homework assistance to children ages 10 to 17 years old. There is a nonrefundable registration fee of $25 per child that will enable the child to participate in activities through the entire school year.

The Boys & Girls Club is next to Westside Elementary School at 5404 Applegate Drive, Spring Hill.

To enroll a child in the club's after-school activities, parents must attend orientation at 6:45 p.m. Monday at the club. For information, call executive director Julie Rodriguez at 666-0068.
