NORTHDALE: Northdale Evangelical Lutheran Church wants to build its own private school adjacent to the church sanctuary on Mapledale Boulevard.
The 18-year-old church, just north of Northdale Boulevard, submitted a request for a special use permit that would allow a school for up to 100 children from kindergarten through eighth grade. The project would be built in two phases and would include approximately 7,956 square feet for classrooms, a conference room and an office for the pastor and principal.
A land use hearing officer is scheduled to hear the plan Sept. 27. (Petition 02-1255)
