HOUSTON -- Tangela Smith scored 17 as Sacramento beat Houston 61-59 Saturday, the Comets' first home loss in 13 games.

The Comets fell a half-game behind Los Angeles in the race for the top seed in the West and homecourt advantage throughout the WNBA playoffs. Houston has one game left, and Los Angeles has two. The Comets hold the tiebreaker over the Sparks.

Also, Sacramento will activate guard Edna Campbell, who has missed the season while being treated for breast cancer, for the final regular-season game Tuesday.

NBA: Owner Mark Cuban will not let his Mavs compete in the World Championships Aug. 29-Sept. 8 in Indianapolis because the NBA's insurance does not cover total contract value. Deputy commissioner Russ Granik said the "Mavericks don't have the right to withhold consent."
