SEATTLE -- Seahawks starting quarterback Trent Dilfer sprained his right knee in the team's preseason opener against the Colts on Saturday night.
It was not immediately known how long Dilfer will be sidelined. The Seahawks' next game is Friday in San Diego.
Playing in his third series, Dilfer was hit by ex-Buc defensive tackle James Cannida and defensive end Chad Bratzke as he attempted a pass to Koren Robinson with 2:02 gone in the second quarter.
Dilfer was helped off the field and taken by a cart to the locker room.
Dilfer, given Seattle's No. 1 quarterback job during the offseason by coach Mike Holmgren, threw a 20-yard touchdown to James Williams in the first quarter.
The Seahawks led 10-0 when Dilfer left and was replaced by Matt Hasselbeck.
MINNEAPOLIS -- Browns linebacker Jamir Miller was carted off the field after tearing his right Achilles' tendon in a preseason game against the Vikings. The Browns won 27-15.
The team was not certain how long Miller will be sidelined.
Miller was hurt in the first quarter when the Vikings' Moe Williams scored on a 4-yard run to tie it at 7.
Quarterbacks Tim Couch and Kelly Holcomb combined to go 14-of-19 for 238 yards and two touchdowns to lead Cleveland.
REDSKINS 37, PANTHERS 30: Shane Matthews gave Washington an early lead, then Danny Wuerffel rallied visiting Washington to ruin the coaching debut of John Fox.
After Carolina rookie Randy Fasani put his team ahead late, Wuerffel drove the Redskins 79 yards in fewer than three minutes to tie it at 30.
Fox then pulled Fasani, and a Mike Watkins pass attempt was batted in the air and returned 21 yards for the winning touchdown by lineman Carl Powell with 1:09 remaining.

TITANS 28, RAMS 26: Undrafted rookie John Simon scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter as host Tennessee edged the defending NFC champion in the preseason opener for both teams.
The Titans, who lost the 2000 Super Bowl to St. Louis, have beaten the Rams in six consecutive exhibitions.
With 54 seconds left, Tennessee had to stop Lamar Gordon from the 1 on a second attempt at a two-point conversion after a penalty. The Rams recovered the onside kick but turned the ball over on downs with 13 seconds remaining.
