HERNANDO -- A 40-year-old Hernando man was arrested and charged with sexual battery late Thursday after a girl told authorities that he had sexual intercourse with her when she was 11.

Forrest Kevin Felton, 2115 E Pamela Court, was being held without bail Friday at the Citrus County jail.

According to an arrest report prepared by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, the girl told Detective Ed Gough that Felton forced her to have sexual intercourse with him at least four times.

The girl, now 12, said Felton also enticed her to swim naked with him in a backyard swimming pool. The girl's mother and brother witnessed the skinny-dipping, the report said.

The girl also said Felton made her watch a pornographic videotape with him.

The girl's name was withheld by authorities because of her age and the nature of the case.

Gough could not be reached for comment Friday, and it was unclear how the accusations were reported to the Sheriff's Office.

After his arrest, Felton told Gough that he showed the girl a pornographic video but only because she had asked a question about what people look like when they are naked. He said he stopped the tape before any sexual intercourse was shown, the report said.

Felton also told Gough that he never touched the girl. In addition to being charged with sexual battery on a child younger than 12, Felton has been charged with lewd and lascivious behavior and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. If convicted, he could face a maximum punishment of life in prison.
