Suspect sought in Zephyrhills robbery

ZEPHYRHILLS -- Police were searching for a man who robbed Sunshine State Federal Savings & Loan, 6620 Gall Blvd., about 2:45 p.m. Friday. The man handed a teller a note demanding money. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man fled in a red Ford Ranger truck. He never showed a weapon, and no one was hurt. Witnesses described the robber as a white man in his 60s, about 6 feet tall. He wore a baseball cap, blue jeans and a white T-shirt. Zephyrhills police were studying surveillance tapes Friday afternoon.
