Woman pushing stroller struck crossing FowlerBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times published August 19, 2002 TAMPA -- A mother pushing her baby in a stroller across Fowler Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday was struck by a car and was in critical condition at Tampa General Hospital, Tampa police said. The vehicle missed the baby, about 6 months old, police said. "I guess God was out there tonight because the baby wasn't hurt at all," said Sgt. Ross Bevan. The name of the mother, 27, was not released late Sunday night, pending notification of her family. Police were questioning the driver late Sunday but charges had not been filed, police spokeswoman Katie Hughes said. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
