Decade of campus leadership honored

Bill Heller was honored Wednesday for his decade of leadership at University of South Florida St. Petersburg, first as dean, then as vice president. He recently stepped down and continues as a faculty member. His influence went far beyond the campus boundaries, as he supported organizations and events throughout the community. He has been a leader in the best sense, inspiring enthusiasm and loyalty, and acting with integrity and a sense of inclusion.

His portrait by local artist Carol Dameron was unveiled during the reception at the Campus Activities Center and will probably hang in the Poynter Library.
