Movie: Blue Crush
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Anne Marie Chadwick (Kate Bosworth) is a teenager who lives for surfing. When she's not working as a maid at a local hotel, she's devoting her time to preparing for an upcoming women's surf competition, where she will have the chance to make it big. But she loses her focus when she falls for an All-Pro NFL quarterback who's in town for the Pro Bowl.
My View: There's not really that much to say about this movie good or bad. It's not great, it's not awful, it's just there. It is a surfing movie with a fluffy love story thrown in. I can't say that I was expecting too much more than that, so I wasn't too surprised with how it turned out.
Favorite Part: The cinematography in this movie was pretty extraordinary. The interesting camera angles really captured the sheer power of the monstrous waves that Hawaiian beaches are notorious for.
Recommendations: This film mainly will be enjoyed by the teenage male population, for obvious reasons, but should appeal to girls as well. Also, fans of aquatic sports will appreciate all the surfing footage.
