LEALMAN -- Candidates for state and local offices plan to attend tonight's Lealman Community Association meeting, which is open to the public.
Planning to be present are Kathy Litton, who is seeking re-election to the Lealman Fire Commission, and her opponent John Frank. Also scheduled to attend are:
-- State House District 53 incumbent Charlie Justice, D-St. Petersburg, and his Republican opponent Ken Feck;
-- County Commissioner John Morroni and his opponent Dave Buby;
-- School Board candidates Richard L. Bennett, Michael Smith and Mark Wilson (District 2); Mary Brown, Matthew Sullivan, Janice Starling, Tiffany Todd and Mike Pachik (District 4); incumbent Nancy Bostock and Moses Holmes Jr. (District 5); and Mary Russell (at large). Max Gessner, who holds the at-large seat, is sending his wife, Marti, in his place. District 2 incumbent Linda Lerner will not attend.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with the candidates mingling with the public. The program will begin at 7 p.m. The meeting is at VFW Post 6827, 4145 34th St. N. For information or directions, call association president Ray Neri at 527-5352.
