FURNITURE STORE OPENS: Caverne Home Design, 8320 W Hillsborough Ave., is open for business. The home design store, aimed mostly at wholesalers and home designers, also sells to the public. Items include reproduction antiques and contemporary furniture. This is the third Caverne store in Tampa. A grand opening is planned for mid-September. For information, call 889-8886.
CHINESE RESTAURANT OPENS: A Chinese restaurant has opened in the Albertsons plaza at the northwest corner of Ehrlich and Turner roads. China Wok serves $3.99 lunch specials and traditional Chinese soups, appetizers and entrees. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 10 p.m. Sundays. For information, call 962-8889.
CARROLLWOOD WEIGHT-LOSS CENTER: Inches-A-Weigh has opened a nutrition and exercise center at 14407-A N Dale Mabry Highway in Grand Plaza. The facility, exclusively for women, offers specialized exercise programs and individual counseling. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. For information, call 968-9626.
BANK TO RELOCATE: The Tampa Postal District Federal Credit Union is moving its north Tampa office to a new 7,500-square-foot building at the northwest corner of Lake Magdalene Boulevard and Florida Avenue. The bank is now a few blocks south at 13902 N Florida Ave. Construction is scheduled to begin in September and be complete by April 2003. For information, call 876-3128.
