Who hasn't been abused at a fast food joint?

Re: Man reports slur, threat by employee of restaurant, Sept. 8.

It must have been a slow news day -- two pages on someone being abused at a fast food joint? Who hasn't been? Somehow I think the Times wouldn't have shown any interest if the race of the people involved had been reversed.

But perhaps I'm just being cynical.

A few horse owners should not win out

I don't understand why the 10 acres in the north section of Helen Howarth Park in Pinellas Park are being cleared for a riding and training ring for horses. Why special consideration for a very few citizens? Many of us who aren't horse owners have used the park for years, so if the trees and wildlife have to be removed, it should benefit all, not a select few.
