Nuclear plant increases security

CRYSTAL RIVER -- Responding to the national terrorism alert Tuesday, Florida Power increased armed security at its Crystal River nuclear plant, tested communication systems and put additional restrictions on visitor access, spokesman Mac Harris said. The changes come after an orange alert, the second highest of the five levels of terrorism warnings. Harris said the additional measures would be in place until the alert is lifted.
