The Durham Bulls swept the Triple-A International League championship with a 2-0 victory over Buffalo on Thursday in Durham, N.C.
Gerardo Garcia was dominant through 6 2/3 innings, and Jason Jiminez, Jesus Colome and Rick Croushore followed to combine on a one-hitter. The Bulls scored one in the sixth on a double by catcher Paul Hoover and another in the seventh on a single by Ryan Freel.
The Bulls, who won their fourth South division title in five years under manager Bill Evers, beat Toledo three straight to get to the final, then beat Buffalo three in a row to win the championship. They are the fifth to sweep the title.
