New Westchase leaders promise approachabilityBy JANE BOKUN© St. Petersburg Times published September 20, 2002 WESTCHASE -- The Westchase Community Association elected new leadership Tuesday that promises to be more approachable. "I plan to try to motivate and encourage residents to become more involved in our community," said Jim Mills, 47, the new board president. "I want to be both available and approachable." Other new officers are Jon Stein, vice president, and John Love, treasurer. Harriet Meier remains the board secretary. They will each serve two-year terms. Mills, who lives in Kingsford, fills the post vacated by past board president Chuck Schroeder. In addition to Mills and Love, Brian Delamer, Nathan Lafer and Pam Prysner were elected to the board last week. Harold Hackney and Kathy Thomas complete the nine-member board. The board will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Westchase Swim and Tennis Center. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
