Art museum board adds some corporate muscleBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times published September 24, 2002 TAMPA -- As it conducts a $47-million fundraising campaign, the board of the Tampa Museum of Art has added 14 new members to its ranks. The expanded 36-member board will serve as the museum begins construction of a new $52-million facility and undertakes a major fundraising campaign to pay for programs at the new museums. Many of the new members have backgrounds in banking and business. Others, including donors who assist with fundraising, may be added later. Some of the new trustees include: -- John P. Blanchard, president/Southeast region, Verizon. -- Irv Cohen, president of JPMorgan Treasury Technologies Corp. -- Timothy J. Geddes, executive vice president of Ringhaver Equipment Co. -- Oscar J. Horton, president and CEO of Sun State International. -- Raymond E. Ifert, senior vice president at Bank of America. -- Joel M. Marlin, regional vice president of MetLife. -- John McKibbon, chairman and CEO of McKibbon Hotel Management. -- David Sutphin, senior vice president of AmSouth Bank. -- Larry E.
