RIDGE MANOR WEST -- A new Beall's outlet store is coming to Ridge Manor West. The Beall's outlet will open in Sunrise Plaza next week, said spokeswoman Peggy Colburn. The store will be about 6,700-square-feet and will hire seven to 10 new employees.
The Brooksville area will then have three Beall's outlet stores and Spring Hill will have one Beall's department store. Three stores might seem like a lot for an area, but Beall's is banking on growth in the area, Colburn said. "We like to be very convenient for our shoppers, and we've had such a great success in that market," Colburn said. Beall's outlet stores are different from retail stores, because they offer cheaper prices, up to 70 percent off. Beall's purchases the merchandise from vendors who have overstocked certain goods that haven't sold well, Colburn said. The Bradenton-based company also recently expanded its distribution complex in Bradenton. The retail chain operates 445 department stores, gift shops and outlets in 10 states.
