Navy Seaman Ann Marie Lazzara, daughter of Marianne Lazzara of St. Petersburg and Michael A. Lazzara of St. Pete Beach, is completing a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington. Lazarra's home port is Norfolk, Va.
Seaman Apprentice Adam Joseph Curp, son of Rhonda and Greg Curp of St. Petersburg, was recognized for service rendered in the delayed entry program of Navy Recruiting Command.
A 2002 graduate of Lakewood High School, Curp is attending school for hospital corpsmen at Great Lakes Naval Corps School.
Samuel C. McDole, son of Kathleen H. McDole of Seminole and Robert McDole of St. Petersburg, has completed U.S. Coast Guard basic training at Cape May, N.J. He has reported for duty aboard Coast Guard Cutter Valiant based in Miami Beach.
McDole is a graduate of Seminole High School.
Warren N. Wright, son of Veronica and Nick Wright of St. Petersburg, graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, N.Y. He received a Third Mate's merchant marine license and was commissioned as an ensign.
Wright, who was nominated to the academy by Rep. C.W. Bill Young, R-Largo, was awarded a bachelor of science degree.
