Theodore stops 25 in 4-1 victory

QUEBEC -- Jose Theodore made 25 saves as the Montreal Canadiens beat Colorado 4-1 on Saturday night in the first preseason game in Quebec City since the Nordiques moved to Colorado in 1995.

Theodore also stopped a penalty shot by Chris Drury in the third period to help the Canadiens improve to 6-0 in the preseason. Richard Zednik, Randy McKay, Saku Koivu and Oleg Petrov scored.

Milan Hejduk scored for the Avalanche.

PREDATORS 4, THRASHERS 4 (OT): Scott Walker scored with 32 seconds left and goalie Mike Dunham off for an extra attacker as Nashville tied Atlanta in Bossier City, La. Kimmo Timonen had two power-play goals, and Martin Erat also scored for Nashville.

WILD 3, BLUES 2: Marian Gaborik scored his second goal with 10 seconds left to give visiting Minnesota the win. Gaborik beat Cody Rudkowsky with a 25-foot shot.

CAPITALS 6, HURRICANES 1: Peter Bondra scored three goals and added an assist for visiting Washington. Glen Metropolit, Jason Doig and Kip Miller also scored for the Capitals. Jeff Heerema scored his second goal of the preseason for the Hurricanes.

ISLANDERS 4, BRUINS 3: Mark Parrish scored the last of visiting New York's four unanswered goals midway through the third period. Parrish and linemates Brad Isbister and Dave Scatchard combined for two goals in the third period.

BLUE JACKETS 2, PENGUINS 1: Derrick Walser and Tyler Wright scored first-period goals for visiting Columbus. Jean-Francois Labbe stopped 32 shots, losing his shutout when Ian Moran scored with 1:54 left.

LEAFS 3, RED WINGS 1: Paul Healey broke a tie with a power-play goal in the third period for host Toronto. Aaron Gavey and 19-year-old defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo also scored for the Leafs.

SABRES 3, SENATORS 2: Jason Woolley scored early in the third period as Buffalo won in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Ales Kotalik and Curtis Brown had goals for the Sabres.
