Chucky's Chalk Talk

ON HOW GOOD THE 1-2 FALCONS ARE: "I just think everybody in this league is good. They lost on a last-second field goal to the Bears, who won 13 games last year. They were on the brink of winning at Green Bay in the opener, 31-27. They're a good team, and I assume after a bye week, they're going to especially be ready to play. That's always a challenge, to go to somebody's house after they've had a week off. Physically and mentally, they'll be at their very best. You're going to see, I think, their best shot."

ON THE FALCONS' OTHER RUNNING BACK, ROOKIE T.J. DUCKETT: "He's a big, powerful guy. He can move the pile and looks like an emerging back in the league. He's a good, inside punishing runner and has some elusiveness, too. They're playing Warrick and Duckett together, so there's a package of things that they're creatively trying to do also. But he's a good back, a promising newcomer to the league."
* * *
ON HOW TO CONTAIN FALCONS QB MICHAEL VICK: "It's going to be important not only to rush the passer, but to contain the passer. This guy, on (artificial turf) in particular, has blinding speed. He can hurt you bad throwing and running. So we have to do a great job collapsing the pocket, containing Michael Vick and getting to him."

A FINAL WORD ON VICK: "His talent, you could say, is extraordinary. He's got great talent. He can throw, he can really run. He's as talented as any athlete I've ever seen at that position. We've got to play a great game to contain him and limit big plays."
