Call 744-5519. * * * DEMOCRACY SCHOLARSHIP: High school students are asked to participate in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Ladies Auxiliary Voice of Democracy scholarship competition. Interested students must submit a three- to five-minute audio essay expressing their view of "Freedom's Obligation." The state's first-place winner will win a four-day tour of Washington and a $25,000 scholarship. All state winners will receive at least a $1,000 scholarship. Entry deadline is Nov. 1. A $50 U.S. savings bond will be awarded to winners of each grade level. Deadline for submission is Nov. 15. Winning entries will be sent to the GFWC Florida Federation of Women's Club state contest.
