TAMPA -- A 31-year-old Tampa woman was injured early Sunday when she lost control of her vehicle on Interstate 75, authorities said.

Stacy Ann Blood was heading south on I-75 just south of Fowler Avenue about 5 a.m. when she slammed on her brakes, went into a spin and crossed the median into the opposite lanes. Her 1997 Toyota SUV flipped twice, landing near the shoulder.

Blood, of 1219 S 66th St., was ejected from the vehicle. She was flown to a hospital. Her condition was not available Sunday night.

The Florida Highway Patrol said she was not wearing a seat belt.
