TAMPA -- A 23-year-old pizza restaurant clerk shot Sunday night is in serious condition at Tampa General Hospital.

Nick Guyette of Tampa was working at the Hungry Howie's at 6207 E Hillsborough Ave. when a man walked into the store about 9:30 p.m. The man, wearing black pants, a red shirt and a ski mask, took money from Guyette and shot him in the torso, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Interviewed Monday, Guyette told deputies that there were two robbers and they fled in a late-model champagne-colored Saturn.

Anyone with information about the armed robbery and shooting should call Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS or the Sheriff's Office at 247-8200.
