Authorities have no suspects in break-ins

ZEPHYRHILLS -- Authorities have no suspects in a series of recent break-ins at Tippecanoe Village.

Since Oct. 1, two vacant homes and the office on Iris Boulevard have been broken into, according to Pasco County sheriff's reports. It's unknown whether anything was stolen.

An employee told deputies she locked the office about 4 p.m. Sunday and found a broken window when she returned at 7:30 a.m. Monday, the report states. Deputies investigated and found one window being held open with a piece of wood and a light bulb removed from the socket.

On Monday, deputies also investigated a break-in at a residence in the neighborhood and discovered another home nearby had been hit.

A carport window at 34626 Morning Glory Glen had been forced open, and the carport door was left unlocked. At 34642 Morning Glory Glen, the patio door had been pried open. Both houses were vacant; their owners apparently were out of the state.
