WHODUNNIT: The comedy Death and Deceit on the Nile continues this weekend at Playhouse 19, 865 U.S. 19 S, Crystal River. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. The play runs Thursday through Sunday until Nov. 10. Tickets are $15. Call 563-1333.

MUSIC AT CFCC: The James Dapogny Chicago Jazz Band will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High, County Road 491 S, and at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the CFCC Ocala Campus Fine Arts Auditorium. The concerts kick off the 2002-2003 Central Florida Community College Performing Arts Series season, now in its 15th year. ART EXHIBIT: Nature Coast Painters will present an art exhibit from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Rainbow Springs State Park, U.S. 41 N, Dunnellon. Framed art and a browse box for prints will be available. A drawing for a framed painting of a blue heron by Dolores Witt will be at 4 p.m. Sunday.

CFCC EXHIBIT: Central Florida Community College's CitrusCounty Campus is hosting an exhibit by ceramicsartist Bob Minter, Ph.D., who is a part-time speech instructor at thecollege. Minter's works are on display throughout the month in the college's exhibitionhall in Building 2 next to the library. The Citrus campus is at 3800 S Lecanto Highway in Lecanto. Exhibit hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays.

PICKIN' & GRINNIN': Former Hee Haw star and guitar wizard Roy Clark will perform at Rock Crusher Canyon amphitheater Oct. 26. Tickets for the show are $20 in advance; VIP tickets are $40. SYMPHONY: The Central Florida Symphony opens its season at 2 p.m. Oct. 26 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High. The program, Symphonic Heritage, features violinist Gloria Schmidt. Conductor James Plondke will lead the orchestra through Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 and Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D. Season tickets are $60 for adults, $40 for students and $180 for families. INVERNESS ARTS FESTIVAL: The 31st Festival of the Arts sponsored by the Citrus County Art League, will be Nov. 16 and 17 on the grounds of the Withlacoochee Technical Institute on W Main Street in Inverness. The festival features fine artists, crafters and live music.

HOMOSASSA FEST: The 28th annual Homosassa Arts, Crafts and Seafood Festival presented by the Homosassa Civic Club will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 9 and 10 in historic Old Homosassa, beginning at Yulee Drive and Mason Creek Road. Preferred parking is at Homosassa Elementary, with a $1 fee at the gate. About 175 artists and crafters will participate. There will be seafood vendors on site and live entertainment. There also will be a raffle for a 15-foot boat with motor and trailer and other prizes. No pets are allowed.

WAR SONGS: The White Cliffs of Dover: Songs of WWII will be performed at 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High. Created by veteran performer Lainie Nelson, The White Cliffs of Dover is a stage show of song, narrative and drama. The program features a dramatic plot, fast-paced action, sharp staging and lighting and a musical performance by the group's four-piece combo. The show is presented by the CFCC Foundation. PARADE DEADLINES: The Citrus County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Crystal River Christmas Parade at 6 p.m. Dec. 7 and the Inverness Christmas Parade at noon Dec. 14. Applications for both parades are available at any Citrus County Chamber of Commerce office. Registration deadlines are a week before each of the parades. Call 726-2801.
