To mark the city's 146th birthday, Brooksville concludes its weeklong Founders' Day activities today and Saturday.

Events include an appraisal of antiques and a square dance and box dinner at the Jerome Brown Community Center.

Brooksville Again will have an auction on the shaded courthouse steps in downtown Brooksville on Saturday. Items include antiques, collectibles, new merchandise and gift certificates. Organizers suggest that bargain hunters bring a chair and plenty of cash or personal checks. Credit cards are not accepted.
