THE DRAMA OF LIFE: The Gin Game, a tragi-comedy by D.L. Coburn, continues this weekend at the Forum at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. FRIGHTENING FUN: Wild and Wicked Nights! takes place from 7 to 11 p.m. today and Saturday and Oct. 25 and 26 at Weeki Wachee Springs at U.S. 19 and State Road 50 in Weeki Wachee. The special Halloween event features an Underwater Spooktacular, a Ghostly Boat Ride, a Haunted Forest, a Mystifying Magic Show, a Creatures of the Night Show, a Mermaid Graveyard and the Scooby Doo -- Episode Two show. A Ghoulish Costume Contest for infants through 8-year-olds is each night. Admission is $7.95 for adults, $6.95 for ages 3 to 10. To preregister for the costume contest, call 596-2062.

FALL CAR SHOW: The Wal-Mart Distribution Center will have a fall car show from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the center, 5100 Kettering Road, near Ridge Manor West. It is the center's annual fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network. Last year, the center raised more than $70,000 for the charity. The event will feature a bazaar including Wal-Mart merchandise, trophy presentations and food. Call 799-6974.

LOVING LANDSCAPES: The work of Spring Hill Art League Artist of the Month Beverly Dawson will be on display throughout the month during business hours at Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative, 10005 Cortez Blvd., Spring Hill. Registration will be from 4 to 7 p.m. There will awards for the top 50 entries and 12 "Best of" awards. FUN DAY: The south Brooksville community group Save Our Children will host Fun Day 2002 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 26 in the field along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Brooksville. The event will have a Western theme, and children and adults can dress up in Western clothes. There will be horseback rides, drawings, food, contests and prizes. Tickets for drawings cost $1 each. FALL HARVEST OF ART: The Spring Hill Art League's 29th annual Fall Harvest of Art Show will be Nov. 1-2 at Spring Hill United Church of Christ, 4244 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill. The Hernando Symphony Orchestra is conducting auditions for its 2002-03 season. Openings are available for trumpet, trombone, French horn, violin, viola, cello, percussion and oboe players. The orchestra is a volunteer group that performs three concert series each season. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings at Chocachatti Elementary School, 4135 California St., south of Brooksville.
