Charles James Lawn Jr., 36, who has no permanent address, was arrested at a local motel. Lawn is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Joseph C. Colbert, 48, who lived at 5601 42nd St. N in the Lealman community. Pinellas County sheriff's officials said robbery was the motive in the killing. Lawn left fingerprints and other physical evidence at the scene of the crime, detectives said. Colbert was on disability and often used a wheelchair to get around. Neighbors sometimes picked up Colbert to take him to the grocery store or on other errands. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
