Crash victim from St. PetersburgBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times published October 22, 2002 ST. PETERSBURG -- A 36-year-old St. Petersburg man was killed when his car veered off northbound Interstate 275 and struck the concrete base of a pedestrian overpass at 22nd Avenue N, police said. Florida Highway Patrol officers said Douglas S. Heahlke of 7219 14th St. N was northbound in the center lane about 10:16 p.m. Friday when his 1990 Ford sedan veered off the interstate. Police withheld his identity until relatives could be notified.
