Felony charges levied in prep football brawl

Two brothers were charged with felony assault Monday after they were accused of participating in a brawl following a youth football game in a Los Angeles suburb.

Joseph Saracho, 32, and Gino Saracho, 25, are accused of kicking a man in the head repeatedly during an Oct. 12 fight between parents at a San Gabriel Valley Junior All-American Football Conference game. Teams from Pico Rivera and Downey had just played.

The victim, Desi Tubbs, was not hospitalized.

The elder Saracho also punched to the ground a 67-year-old Downey assistant coach who was trying to break up the fight, prosecutors said.
