Man held on charge of molesting 9-year-old

SOUTH MASARYKTOWN -- A 42-year-old man was arrested early Saturday after three people reported seeing him molest a 9-year-old girl, according to a Pasco County sheriff's report.

Jeff Spinella of 18902 U.S. 41 Apt. E-6 faces a charge of capital sexual battery, the report states.

According to the report, Spinella molested the girl inside a north Pasco County mobile home park about 9:45 p.m. Friday.

Spinella was being held Saturday at the county jail in Land O'Lakes on $200,000 bail.

Man robs convenience store, escapes on foot

DADE CITY -- A man with gun robbed a Circle G convenience store Friday morning, escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a Pasco County sheriff's report.

The man entered the store, 15446 14th St., about 7:05 a.m., pointed a silver revolver at the clerk and said, "Open the register," the report states. He grabbed money from the cash register and ran east on 14th Street.

Deputies were investigating the holdup on Saturday.

Jailed teen accused of lewd, lascivious battery

A 19-year-old already jailed on charges that he had consensual sex with underage girls was accused on Friday of also having sex with a 14-year-old girl "against her will," according to a Pasco County sheriff's report.

Robert John Keen of 38008 12th Ave. in Zephyrhills faces a charge of lewd and lascivious battery, the report states.

A 14-year-old girl told deputies that on Wednesday afternoon at a Zephyrhills home she willingly took off her shirt, but Keen removed her pants and had sex with her, the report states.

Keen told deputies that he had consensual sex with the girl, the report states.

Keen was being held Saturday at county jail in Land O'Lakes in lieu of $55,000 bail.
