Receiver Anquan Boldin on if Adrian McPherson should replace Chris Rix at quarterback:

"It's something they've got to look at. The guy went in and played great. He moved the offense and scored two touchdowns."

* * *

Rix on possibly being replaced:

"That's up to Coach Bowden and the offensive coaches. I have no control of them. All I can do is worry about me."

* * *

Coach Bobby Bowden on Notre Dame:

"Their defense is probably as good as Miami's. Offensively, Miami might have an edge. Anyone that is superior to them, they neutralize it with their play-making; turnovers, turnovers and then revving up and scoring. They are not capable of driving the length of the field, but if they get the ball in your end of the field, they will score."

* * *

Bowden on the Irish's first play:

"I'm tired of seeing the long pass for a touchdown. But at least that's what not beat us. It was turnovers."

* * *

Linebacker Kendyll Pope on the rest of the season:

"If we let (the loss) get to us, we're in for another 8-4 season. We've got to get things straightened out in a hurry."

* * *

Defensive tackle Tony Benford on the loss:

"We should have won. There's no way in the world you can tell me they're better than us. They went out and looked at the scoreboard and beat us."
