BENGALS: Tight end Sean Brewer had more knee surgery Monday. He tore cartilage against Atlanta Sept. 23 and had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. He returned to practice last week but tore the cartilage again, trainer Paul Sparling said.

BILLS: Defensive tackle Tyrone Robertson was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list after he completed a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. ... Travis Henry has nine rushing touchdowns this season, the first Buffalo player to have that many that since Thurman Thomas in 1992.

CHARGERS: Strong safety Rodney Harrison formally appealed his one-game suspension, meeting for one hour with Jeff Pash, the league's executive vice president and league counsel. Harrison was suspended for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Oakland's Jerry Rice Oct. 20.

CHIEFS: Linebacker Quinton Caver, waived by the Eagles last week, signed for the rest of the season. ... At halftime of Sunday's game against the Raiders, the team inducted retired offensive tackle John Alt into its Ring of Fame and honored the members of the Dallas Texans' 1962 AFL championship team. Curtis McClinton, a member of that team, sang the national anthem. The Texans moved to Kansas City in 1963.

COLTS: Running back Edgerrin James had an MRI on his right leg and his status for this weekend's game against Tennessee is uncertain. He strained his hamstring Sunday night and missed the fourth quarter.

JAGUARS: Receiver Patrick Johnson was inactive with an abdominal strain.

JETS: Receiver Wayne Chrebet fumbled for the first time since 1996. He had gone 323 receptions without one.

PATRIOTS: The team's 179 yards were its fewest since it gained 149 in the fourth game last season, against Miami.

RAVENS: The team is concerned All-Pro linebacker Ray Lewis could be out for the season with a shoulder injury. Lewis will miss a fourth straight game Sunday against Atlanta. Lewis, who had an MRI Monday, has not played since partly separating his left shoulder Oct. 6 against Cleveland. ... Quarterback Chris Redman, who sat out Sunday's 31-18 loss to Pittsburgh, also will miss this week with back spasms.

STEELERS: The team has scored at least 28 points in each of quarterback Tommy Maddox's four starts.

TITANS: Linebacker Frank Chamberlin broke his left hand against Cincinnati and his status is uncertain for Sunday's game against Indianapolis. ... Steve McNair has thrown a touchdown in 20 consecutive games, one shy of Warren Moon's franchise record, set with the Houston Oilers.
