BEARS: Starting quarterback Chris Chandler was hit hard on a fourth-quarter incompletion and Henry Burris took over for the final two possessions against Minnesota. Burris was 1-of-6 for 28 yards, an interception and a sack. On two carries, Burris led the Bears in rushing with 19 yards. Chandler said he had the wind knocked out of him.

COWBOYS: With two first-quarter tackles, safety Darren Woodson surpassed Lee Roy Jordan as the franchise's all-time leading tackler. He increased his total to 1,243, topping Jordan's 1,236.

FALCONS: Quarterback Michael Vick had part of his left hand wrapped in a bandage after mildly spraining his left thumb Sunday against New Orleans. The left-hander said he will practice this week and be in the lineup Sunday against Baltimore. ... Receiver Willie Jackson was released and Quentin McCord was signed from the practice squad.

49ERS: Terrell Owens signed another ball with a pen from his sock -- but it was during warmups, when he caught a pass and pulled the same trick that earned him a warning from the league after he did it during a victory over Seattle Oct. 14. This time, Owens handed the ball to a child.

LIONS: The team has a franchise-record 12-game road losing streak. Detroit's last road win was Dec. 17, 2000, against the New York Jets.

PANTHERS: Steve Smith's 14-month-old daughter fell out of her high chair Sunday, landed on her face and was checked for a possible skull fracture. Smith said she is doing well but has to be monitored for long-term damage. ... Defensive tackle Sean Gilbert will miss the rest of the season with a broken right hip, and linebacker Dan Morgan needs hernia surgery and will be out at least three weeks. Gilbert was injured in the second half against Tampa Bay. ... Quarterback Chris Weinke was cleared to play after sustaining a concussion against Atlanta two weeks ago.

RAMS: Fullback James Hodgins practiced for the first time since breaking his left foot in the preseason and could play this weekend against Arizona.

SAINTS: Running back Deuce McAllister was arrested in Kenner, La., for driving with a suspended license after he was caught speeding. He was pulled over Saturday on his way to the team practice facility for driving 70 mph in a 40 zone, coach Jim Haslett said. McAllister's license was suspended because he had not paid a ticket. ... The loss ended the team's best start since 1991, when it was 7-0 en route to an 11-5 finish and a division title. ... With 61 receiving yards Sunday, Joe Horn moved into fifth on the team's career list (3,275, passing Henry Childs).
