Wilderness expert at Bill Jackson'sBy RODNEY PAGE, Times Staff Writer© St. Petersburg Times published November 1, 2002 Noted outdoors and wilderness survivalist Tom Brown Jr. will speak from 7-9 Tuesday night at Bill Jackson's outdoors store in Pinellas Park. The event is free and open to the public. Brown is the founder of the Tracker School, now in its 24th year. The Tracker School, based in New Jersey, teaches nature awareness and survival skills. Brown also has written Field Guide to City and Suburban Survival, which details ways to deal with everyday problems such as power outages, crime, earthquakes and other disasters.
