2A-2 Girls

WHEN/WHERE: 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Meadowbrook Golf Club, Gainesville.

LOCAL TEAM: Lecanto.

OUTLOOK: A top-three finish for the Panthers is possible, but placing first or second (the top two teams reach state) will be difficult. Oviedo, District 4 champ, was third at state last year. Gainesville Buchholz, which won District 3, was fourth. Buchholz beat Lecanto by 45 strokes last week.

A-3 Girls

WHEN/WHERE: Noon Monday, Daytona Beach Golf and Country Club.

OUTLOOK: The Hurricanes are in a tough spot. District 5 champion St. Augustine Nease shot 301 last week, the low round by a Class A squad. Panthers star Monique Gesauldi shot 69 for medalist honors. Of the eight teams, Citrus had the fifth-best score at districts.

A-3 Boys

WHEN/WHERE: 8 a.m. Monday, The Champions Club, Jacksonville.

OUTLOOK: The Hurricanes' impressive 305 at districts was the third best in this region. But getting to state won't be easy. Defending state champion St. Augustine Nease shot 296 and is loaded. Saddlebrook Prep won Citrus' district and is equally tough.
