NORTHDALE DIM SUM: The Asian Buffet restaurant at 3805 Northdale Blvd. closed its doors last week and is scheduled to reopen as Dim Sum Buffet on Monday. Instead of standard Asian-American fare, diners can choose from more than 30 Chinese-style appetizers. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Call 908-8535.

BBQ RESTAURANT OPENS: Smokey Bones BBQ and Sports Bar has opened at 8020 Citrus Park Drive. The restaurant across from the Citrus Park mall serves up barbecue platters, sandwiches, wings and salads. Hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Call 920-9434.

FLOWERS AND BALLOONS: Regalos Express has opened at 14453 N Dale Mabry Highway. The store, next to Cost Cutters in Grand Plaza, offers flower and ballon bouquets, helium balloons and party decorations. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Call 269-7254.

HAIR SALON TO OPEN: Haircolorxpress is leasing space in the Palms at Carrollwood shopping center. The salon at 13149 N Dale Mabry Highway will specialize in hair coloring. Call 315-0120.

BK CLOSES: The Burger King at 17515 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. in New Tampa has turned off its grill.

GAS STATION CLOSES: The BP gas station and drive-through convenience store at 2245 E Fletcher Ave. has shut down its pumps.
