BENGALS: Defensive lineman Oliver Gibson is expected to miss the rest of the season after having surgery on a torn left Achilles' tendon. ... Brandon Bennett's kickoff return for a touchdown was the first by Cincinnati since 1999.

CHARGERS: They have lost two straight after a 6-1 start, raising the specter of a possible trend. Last season, they were 5-2 and lost their last nine. However, coach Marty Schottenheimer started 0-5 in Washington and finished 8-8.

CHIEFS: Priest Holmes set the franchise record with his 14th rushing touchdown of the season. He has scored in seven straight games, tying Marcus Allen's franchise record.

COLTS: Ted Marchibroda, who won three AFC East titles and 73 games in two stints as coach, will be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor on Sunday. ... Mike Vanderjagt hit the crossbar on a 48-yarder in the fourth quarter. He is 3-for-7 from beyond 40 yards this season. ... The team is 30-15 with Edgerrin James and 4-8 without him. A decision on James, who has a hamstring injury, is not expected before Wednesday. ... Receiver Qadry Ismail has a sprained medial collateral ligament in his knee, and defensive back Joseph Jefferson has a sprained ankle. Both could miss Sunday's game against Dallas.

DOLPHINS: They have lost five straight at the Meadowlands to the Jets and are 6-13 in Giants Stadium vs. the Jets. ... Left tackle Mark Dixon aggravated a left ankle sprain.

JAGUARS: Right tackle Todd Fordham (ankle), center John Wade (ankle), linebacker Eric Westmoreland (hamstring) and defensive tackle John Henderson (concussion) were injured Sunday, but coach Tom Coughlin said none of the injuries appeared serious.

JETS: Defensive end Shaun Ellis bruised his left knee but returned.

PATRIOTS: Adam Vinatieri kicked four field goals, including a team-record 57-yarder in the second quarter. Vinatieri and Matt Bahr shared the record of 55 yards.

RAVENS: Jamal Lewis became the team's career rushing leader with 2,145 yards, passing Priest Holmes. ... The team improved to 2-3 this season without linebacker Ray Lewis, who missed a fifth straight game with a partially separated left shoulder.

STEELERS: Pittsburgh's 645 yards were 38 short of the team record of 683, against the Chicago Cardinals in 1958. ... Amos Zereoue gained 123 yards on 37 carries, second most in team history behind Franco Harris' 41 in 1976.

TEXANS: Kris Brown's field goal gave him points in his 40th consecutive game.

TITANS: Quarterback Steve McNair wore a walking boot again to protect his swollen right big toe, and defensive end Jevon Kearse had more X-rays on his broken left foot. ... McNair set a franchise record by throwing a touchdown in his 22nd straight game, breaking the mark held by Warren Moon, who had 21 straight in 1990-91. ... Samari Rolle's interception was his first of the season. ... Jeff Fisher improved to 17-4 in his first meeting with a new coach. He is 16-2 against teams making their first trip to the Coliseum.
