Work on 5th season of 'Sopranos' already started

Time is on Sopranos fans' side.

Show creator David Chase said there won't be another 16-month hiatus before the next season of the popular HBO mob drama.

The show's writers are at work on scripts for the fifth season, with production set to resume in early March, Chase told the New York Daily News. The Sopranos will then be back with new episodes in September, just 10 months after the Dec. 8 season finale.

Depending on the outcome of the last four episodes of this season, all of the regular cast members are expected to be back next year.

Eastwood, 72, will receive the honor next year at the ninth annual Screen Actors Guild Awards show in Los Angeles on March 9, which will air on Turner Network Television.

Ventura in talks with MSNBC for show

Gov. Jesse Ventura, a former talk-radio host who has had his own radio program while in office, is negotiating with MSNBC for a TV show after his term ends Jan. 6.

Ventura has met with MSNBC president Erik Sorenson over the past several months to discuss a general news talk show that includes a segment on media criticism, the Associated Press reported, quoting a source close to the discussions who spoke on condition of anonymity.

MSNBC spokeswoman Paulette Song said, "We're always looking at potential options for programming but we have nothing to announce."
