Classic cars ride again

Car quest
Need a new car? Want to know what you might be driving a few years from now? The Tampa Bay International Auto Show is the place to do the research.
|
More interested in classic cars than autos of the future? Then check out the annual Zephyrhills Fall AutoFest.
Every car and truck in the show must be at least 20 years old. There's also dirt track exhibition racing by old-time stockcars, sprint cars and midget race cars. Besides the requisite swap meet, this festival includes a collector car auction.
It all happens at the 207-acre Festival Park, on U.S. 301 about 3 miles south of Zephyrhills.
Gates open at 8 a.m. today through Sunday. The racing warmups are at 11 a.m. today, with racing at 11 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The auction starts at 10 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.
Admission is $8; children get in free. (813) 782-0835.
