TAMPA -- The South Florida baseball team signed third baseman Joey Angelberger of Dunedin and pitchers Tyler Clippard of Mitchell and Nick Manganaro of Oakland Park Northeast on Thursday.

Angelberger batted .300 for the nationally ranked Falcons last season and was a teammate of USF freshman outfielder Jeremy Bellotti. Clippard, a right-hander, was 6-4 with a 1.18 ERA last season, and left-hander Manganaro was 7-3 with a 3.95 ERA.

The USF softball team signed left-hander Kasey Kash of Flagler Palm Coast. She had three perfect games and four no-hitters last season. Kash joins right-hander Danielle Urbanik of East Bay in the Bulls' recruiting class.

FLORIDA BASEBALL: The Gators signed middle infielder Ryan Kennedy of Bradenton's Lakewood Ranch and third baseman John Michael Howell of Seminole Community College, bringing the early recruiting class to 17.

CROSS COUNTRY: The Tampa women's team moved into the NCAA Division II national rankings for the first time, debuting at No. 25 in the final poll. Dee Dee Haefling, Liz Bragg and Allison Mascus were among 15 runners named All-South Region.

SOCCER: The South Florida men's team's season ended with a 3-2 loss to Cincinnati in overtime at the Conference USA tournament in St. Louis.
