HIGHS

DAVE ANDREYCHUK: The Lightning captain and all-around good guy scored his 250th power-play goal Friday, breaking Phil Esposito's career record. As a bonus, his mom and dad were in attendance. Nice job Mr. and Mrs. A.

MATT KENSETH: Overshadowed by the points race between his teammate Mark Martin and leader Tony Stewart, Kenseth posted his series-leading fifth victory of the season last week at Phoenix.

LOWS

MICHAEL CROTEAU: The father of a 16-year-old is suing the New Brunswick Amateur Hockey Association because his son didn't win the league MVP award. He seeks $300,000 in psychological and punitive damages. "My son is a hero," he says.

BOB KNIGHT: The Texas Tech basketball coach sued his former Indiana University employers, saying they fired him without cause. They fired him 'cause he was violent to fans and players, 'cause he was a loose cannon with a foul mouth and 'cause the school told him to cut it out and he didn't.
