Of people and primates
Jane Goodall has lived and worked with Tanzanian primates for more than 40 years, a remarkable bond between humankind and nature profiled in the IMAX documentary Jane Goodall's Wild Chimpanzees. The film focuses on the scientist's long-running bond with Fifi, the first chimp she befriended, in 1960. Today, both are mothers and grandmothers, still sharing information about parallels in their lives. Footage of Goodall and Fifi then and now makes this a portrait of an unusual friendship. Jane Goodall's Wild Chimpanzees opens Friday on the Kong-sized screen at the IMAX Dome Theater at the Museum of Science and Industry, 4801 E Fowler Ave., Tampa.
