Man hit, killed trying to cross street

TAMPA -- An unidentified man was struck and killed by a truck Saturday morning while trying to walk across Waters Avenue.
The man was on Waters, about 30 feet west of Hulsey Road, when he was hit by a westbound 1991 Dodge pickup about 1 a.m., said Lt. Rod Reder, spokesman for the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reder said no charges are expected to be filed against the driver, Craig Theriault, 20, of 6407 Crystal Brook Drive in Tampa.
