Woman killed in car on I-275; Dunedin man, 19, is charged

TAMPA -- An 18-year-old Lutz woman was killed on Interstate 275 early Saturday when her vehicle was struck by another car on the wrong side of the road.

Julie N. Buckner was driving south about 3:30 a.m. when her car was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by John R. Templeton Jr., 19, of Dunedin.

Buckner's car was pushed into a ditch. She was ejected.

Templeton was charged with DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide and driving on the wrong side of the road. He is being held in Orient Road Jail.
