HUDSON -- Three teenagers are facing charges after authorities said they broke into Hudson High School and stole cash from the cafeteria safe.

The three boys, ages 15, 16 and 17, all face a single charge of burglary.

On Thursday, an assistant principal at the school at 14410 Cobra Way discovered the cafeteria storeroom and safe had been broken into and more than $1,000 was missing, according to a Pasco sheriff's report.

The boys later admitted taking the money. One of them served as a lookout while the other two raided the safe, the report states.

Only about $275 of the stolen money was recovered, and deputies are continuing to investigate, sheriff's Lt. Skip Stone said.
